Telfood Feastival Coming Soon…

web picFor the first time in Telford Town Park’s QEII Arena in July, food and drink lovers have a fantastic opportunity to come along to the Telfood Feastival.

Taking place on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July, more than 130 of Britain’s best food producers will descend on the QEII Arena based within Telford Town Park, voted the UK’s best park, and close to the new multimillion pound Southwater development.

The event is being organised by Shropshire Festivals, the organisers of the hugely popular Shrewsbury Food Festival, which is now in its fourth year and attracts over 26,000 visitors.

Featuring an array of food and drink stalls and demonstrations from the region’s best chefs, the Telfood Feastival will also be host to lots of free activities, including a live music stage, talks, tastings and crafts.

Children won’t be disappointed either, as they will be able to get hands-on in the cookery area and learn circus skills in the huge big top.

There is sure to be no shortage of foodie fun and activities, and more will be announced as the event draws closer.

Director of Shropshire Festivals, Beth Heath, said: “Telford is a vibrant place to visit and its recent and continuing growth means it’s an excellent place to host a food and drink festival, and I’m extremely excited to bring the Telfood Feastival to the borough.”

Councillor Shaun Davies, cabinet member for Business, Neighbourhood and Customer Services, said: “This is a great opportunity for the borough and will showcase the Town Park and the arena.

“We’re looking forward to a summer filled with events for all the family in the borough.”

Telfood Feastival takes place in the QEII arena in Telford Town Park on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July 2016, from 10am–5pm.

Tickets for the event cost, £5 for Adults, £1 for kids and £10 for families. Book online now at www.telfood.co.uk
